Racing – Spinnaker

A spinnaker, shortly called spi, is a special type of sail that is designed for sailing downwind from a reaching course to a downwind, with the wind 90°–180° off. The spinnaker fills with wind and balloons out in front of the boat when it is deployed, called flying.

Beilken spinnakers can be optimized for a particular range of wind angles, as a reaching or a running spinnaker. Our spinnakers are produced with high end materials from Dimension Polyant or Contender in radial cuts and can be optimized  for IMS , ORC. IRC and produced in various colors. They are tailored and custom designed for your boat.
